This was October 1, 1863 about a year before Prices' Raid. He was held by the 3rd Colorado Infantry at Pilot Knob, Mo and signed an Oath of Allegiance on this date. I'm not sure he was a soldier, he may have been a spy or something like that. Anyway they must have judged him as not loyal to the Union. I don't think he's the man in Dobbins Cavalry, he was from Randolph County, Arkansas. I was looking this up for some of his descendants.
