July 1 On move from neighborhood of Millikens Bend to vicinity of which place we had made a raid against Federal planters who had leased plantations from Adjt. Genl. Thomas of Lincolns [sic] Government. Ordered from Delhis La. on the 10 July 1863 to Monroe. Remained on post guard duty at that point until about Aug 1 at which time Tappans Brigade moved to Little Rock Ark from Girard Station La when we were ordered to rejoin the Brigade at Little Rock rejoined it at Rockport after retreat from Little Rock

Left Camp Bragg Arkansas x 1864 and march to Camp Sumter Arkas x 8 miles above Dooleys ferry a distance of 35 miles Reached there Feby January 30, 1864 Remained there until February 3, 1864 when we marched 2 miles beyond Spring Hill to a new camp Left that camp on February 7, 1864 and moved half a mile nearer Spring Hill which camp is still called Camp Sumter We are now encamped there.
