Camp Texas references I have found in my pile of notes:

8/1 HQs Army of the South West Circular- The misconduct of a comparatively small number of bad men is bringing all the troops into disrepute. Through mistaken feeling of Kindness, their offences have been again and again forgiven, or else but, lightly punished. - This course has increased, instead of lessening, the evil. A different one will henceforth be adhered to. -Discipline, of the strictest sort, will be enforced, at all hazards.
The severest penalties will be inflicted, without hesitation, upon offenders of all grades. Desertion, Mutiny, Disloyalty, and Plundering, or any attempt at either, or manifestation or expression of any such intention, will be punished with death.
Two men of Morgan’s Regt of Ark Inf [26th Ark Inf] and two men of Hart’s Btry have suffered death today. - Their names were Amsick McCance and Michael Donahoo of Morgan’s Bn and Thomas J and John Welch of Hart’s Btry. - Their crime was desertion. Let this example be remembered. Good men have nothing to fear; Bad men must reform, or share the fate of these deserters.
The service records for the two in Morgan's outfit say they were "shot for desertion at Camp Texas, Aug 1st 1862

4/8 Seaton was appointed wagon master April 18th-the Regt passed through Boonville in Brazos County, Texas.
They turned northwest passing through the towns of Wheelock in southern Robertson County, Springfield in Limestone County, and Fairfield in Freestone County, toward Palestine. The Regt averaged 15-18 miles a day. Their destination was Shreveport, La, then north to a place called Camp Texas near Little Rock. The 10th had been assigned to Gen Hindman's command to the Trans-Ms Dept. Many would not survive this “death march” to the seat of war; many would not survive the march out of Texas.

6/4 arrive Camp Texas
…by June 6th [the regiment\ had reached Camp Texas
Soon after reaching Camp Texas, Col Nelson received orders to move his regiment north to Devall’s Bluff

Aug 12, 1862-All of the convalescents left Camp Texas for Little Rock to take a boat up the river to rejoin their camp [company] again.

Her home was just two miles from Little Rock near the river. The Confederate Army often camped in a wooded part of the farm; they called the place Camp Texas

Blessington, Walker's Texas Division
"We arrived [Sept. 22, 1862] at an old camp-ground, known by the name of "Camp Texas," where all Texas troops had to go through the etiquette of military tactics, previous to paying their respects to . . . General Holmes."
At the formation or “dress parade” that evening orders were read from General Holmes, naming Brigadier General Henry E. McCulloch as the new commander of a “Texas” division, then consisting of Colonel Horace Randal's and Colonel Edward Clark’s brigades.

Sept 8, 1862 The unit [12th Texas Infantry] continued the march crossing the Red River on an ox drawn ferry-boat. Marched until arriving at the "Camp Texas" Campground near Little Rock on 9/22-The march carried the troops across the Little Missouri River, Ouachita River, Saline River, the towns of Washington, Okolona, Arkadelphia, Rockdale, and Benton.
