Adams' Regiment was the 3rd Regiment, Northwest Brigade, and therefore incorrectly referred to as the 3rd Arkansas Infantry. The 1st and 2nd Regiments, Northwest Brigade, were redesignated as the 35th and 34th Arkansas Infantry, respectively, after the Battle of Prairie Grove. Adams' 3rd Regiment was disbanded after the battle for misconduct in the presence of the enemy.
