The steamer Clyde, engaged in the cotton trade, was seized by the gunboat Louisville at Skipwith’s Landing, on the Mississippi, on the 16th, for alleged violation of the trade regulations. Capt. Cook, who was in charge of the Clyde, was accused of having agreed to convey a rebel battery across the river for $5000 in gold
