General Roane ordered me to report at Pine Bluff today. I am now here with seventy officers and men and fifty guns Genl. Roane is not here and I have no tents, canteens, wagons, or cooking utensils. I am ready to march to order. We would prefer being ordered to Yells Battalion. I have not ammunition. The commissary will not feed my men. What shall I do.
Endorsement. Have this company brought up in ________ and sent to Morgan if it is infantry. Order [cmdg?] to fill it. T.C.H.
