According to the Compiled Service Records, the mustering officer for Company K, 26th Arkansas Infantry Regiment, Jefferson County, was J.H. Porterfield. Does anyone have any idea who this person was? The CSR for this company is the only place I’ve found him. No mention in the OR, or Soldiers and Sailors Database. Any input very appreciated.
