William Hays Wilson

The Gazette paper reported a regular battalion muster of the Arkansas Militia near the residence of Major James B. Wilson on the Horse Head Creek in Johnson County on April 13, 1861. My wife is of the Wilson family, and we live on the family farm on the Horse Head Creek. Family records can go back as far as William Hays Wilson, whom we were told served in the civil war. We are trying to tie William Hays Wilson to Major James B. Wilson. We are also trying to find the original location of the battalion muster - is it our current location.
