After discussion with Helena experts, I think a site that I was involved in metal detecting has been determined to be that of one of those AD units. All the bullets found were 69 cal minie and round balls. Just adjacent to this site a number of Cosmopolitan minies and some pin fire pistol cartridges were found along with a US officer belt place with initials and Co H scratched into the back. So this might show that at least one group may have had 69 caliber muskets. or Cosmopolitan carbines.
