All we know is that his Company K was organized at Camp Hindman, Arkansas June 7, 1862. At theendof October they were at Little Rock. Do not know where they were between these dates nor where he may have been assigned Extra Duty as a Carpenter.

We may be able to locate his birth place through the census records. This will require however, knowledge of his wife's name and abode ca 1860 +/-
