Thomas C. Gray, Co K. 37 Ar.

I would like to know more about this man, Thomas C. Gray. He is reported to have died on August 28, 1862.
I have learned that Co. K of the 37 was a group that Wm. Goodrum raised. This group was raised up in
Brownsville, Arkansas which at that time was the county seat of Prairie County.
Some way or another it tied in to Pope County. Any ideas?
It was his young widow, Mrs. Gray who in the Lonoke County history as documented by a local newspaper of
the times, that stated she chewed out the Yankees that came into her home and sent them "on down the road."
My daughter, Carrie, is to portray, the young and feisty Widow Gray, in a coming fund raiser that the
Lonoke County Museum is sponsoring on Saturday, November 8 begin at 5:30 and she needs some information
for her part. She is so busy teaching school and planning her coming wedding that I am the appointed researcher.
Thank you!
P. S. If you would like information about our fund raiser, feel free to call 501-676-6750.
