I'm trying to help a patron find out what happened to her ancestor. His name was Evan (Even) Wallace (Wallas, Wallis, etc). He was from White County and served in the 21st Arkansas Militia. I have his record from fold3 regarding that service as well as a receipt for goods he sold the Rebs and delivered to them at Stony Point. Their family story is that at the end of the war he was walking home and was shot. I can't find a record for him with any other unit so I'm hoping somebody out there might have come across something regarding him and his death. There's also no pension app from his widow.
