Barbara, I found a B.J. Crutchfield Pvt. Co. E., who was in the 14th Arkansas in Fold3 records. He was the only Crutchfield that I found. He died on May 19, 1862, at Churchfield, Clark, MS. I live in Iuka, MS., Churchill and Clark are nowhere near here, I think you can rule out Iuka's, Shady Grove Cemetery's mass burial trench, in your search. Sorry I could not find him here.
