July 8, 2014 ~COMING EVENT~The Grand Prairie Civil War Round Table Meeting will be
at the Lonoke County Museum in downtown Lonoke at 215 South East Front Street, beginning at 7:00 p.m..
Mark Christ, will present a program on 'General Jo Shelby and the Summer of 1864.' Christ is the Outreach
Director for the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program. Christ was a 2013 recipient of the Civil War Trust's
State Preservation Leadership Award and his most recent nonfiction book was the "Civil War of Arkansas 1863."
It was selected as the winner of the 2013 Worthen Prize awarded by the Central Arkansas Library System.
All friends, members of the GPCWRT and those of the Lonoke County Museum as well as anyone that
is interested, are invited.
As always, the is no admission fee, and everyone is welcome to come hear the presentation.
Bring a few extra dollars as we will raffle off one of our books.
Membership dues are still just $20 and new members are always welcome!
