He was listed as age 24 on enlistment August 3, 1861 and then age 27 on the POW record which would make his apprehension in 1864. He was recorded present at the Company ‘C’ March/April, 1864 muster. Although difficult to read, I believe the POW record is dated Dec. 6, 1864.
