I certif. that the within named Charles E. Steele a Corporal of Captain Wm Hart’s company of light Artillery, C.S.A. Born in Middlesex county in the state of New Jersey aged 26 years, 5 feel 11 inches highlight completion, Blue eyes Light hair and by occupation a printer, was enlisted by Capt Wm Hart at Fayetteville, Arkansas on the First day of September 1861, to serve during the war and was discharged by an order of General Earl Van Dorn disbanding said company on the 25th day of March, 1862.
The said Charles E. Stelle was last paid by Major Montgomery to include the 31st day of October 1861 and has pay due him from that date to the date of the disbanding of the company on the 25th day of March 1862.
There is due him fro services 4 months and 25 days at $13 per month. $62.83
