I recently posted the incredible news of Quantrill guerrilla, John Atchison, a member of the "original 93 list", being buried at the Atchison Cemetery in Blue Eye, Carroll County, Arkansas! This is a great historical moment for the northwest Arkansas area and lends more credibility to the "Quantrill Special Collections Research" collection in Bentonville, Arkansas. The Atchison Cemetery is located at the edge of some deep woods and has fallen into a bad way. It is not overgrown, but is in need of landscaping and fence repair. The fence is a regular yard fence that was put up years ago and has collapsed behind John's gravesite. I am hoping a society, club or organization might lend a hand to the Carroll County Historical Society or take the project on their own. I know the family would be incredibly appreciative!
