I looked up the refrence on Fold 3. It is interesting that he mentioned that the 'young man' was formerly of the Washington Artillery. That reference first made think of Etter's Battery, which is sometimes referred to at the Washington Artillery for Washington Arkansas, but that unit wasn't formed until the summer of 1862, so I think he is refering to "the other" Washington Artillery from New Orleans LA. I wish we knew what became of this little artillery company. I wonder if it eventually wound up as part of the 21st Arkansas. Were there any LA men in the 21ar?
