CSA Camp Reed - "We seek the GRAIL..."

Hi Mark -

Yes, indeedy, and to quote Monty Python: "We seek the GRAIL.." :D

In this case (with LOTS of expert help!) I was finally able to find Camp Reed at Dooley's Ferry after lo, all these many years!!!!!

I phoned Peggy Lloyd after sending her some docs/links re Newton's 10th Arkansas Cavalry Co. C, etc. She also gave me the names of Josh Williams at Historic Washington State Park and his dad Keenan Williams for future interactions.

Apparently Josh is planning to install a historic marker at the Dooley's Ferry site sometime in the future. Would LOVE to visit the site, walk the earthworks, etc. if doable!!!!!!!

If logistics work out, would like to combine a visit to Fulton/Dooley's Ferry/HWSP with the installation/dedication of a CSA vet marker for Lt. Byrd McKinney in Lonoke County perhaps during Spring of 2014?? See:

Thanks again Mark for all of your interactions/sharing of info during the past several years!!!!!!!

y.v.o.s,

Ken Byrd
