As you know, the Monticello Artillery was organized as a light artillery battery, type of guns unknown (to me at least), in February 1862. By at least May 1862 it was referred to as heavy artillery. Then there is correspondence which suggests that it reverted to light artillery by at least September 1863. Then it seems to have settled in at Spanish Fort (Mobile), Alabama, as siege artillery by at least the summer of 1864 to the end of the war.
The battery muster rolls are comparatively comprehensive, but deal strictly with the status of the soldiers, with no mention of guns nor "Record of Events" (except for the October 1863 and October 1864 muster rolls).
This battery obviously bears further research.
Hope this helps a little.
