I've often wondered if the story about dying in an automobile accident was accurate. I think that particular tidbit of information might more accurately go with William Albany Walker, as (if my memory is correct) it appears on a piece of paper discussing William A. Walker and his wife Malissa Jane Davis.

It seems to me that early in this chain of discussion, someone mentioned that the widow for the William Davis in the 4 Arkansas Cavalry was named May. Have you seen that information anywhere?

You have been very helpful and I truly appreciate your efforts on my behalf. My next step will be to save up the money to purchase the pension records. I sure wish those were on Fold3 (I've looked...they aren't there). Of all the William Davis' I've researched, I just keep coming back to this one as my gg grandfather.
