Re: Trans-Mississippi artillery report
I found his service records, but there is not much information. There were two listings, one for A.J. Guyon, which cross-referenced back to A.J. Guion. It states that he enlisted at Natchez on the 30th of April, 1862 in Co. H, Wither's Regt., Light Artillery, Miss. Volunteers, for a term of 3 years. This later became the 1st. Miss. Light Artillery. It shows him as present on the Jan.-Feb., 1863 muster roll, having been last paid 31 Dec., 1862.
