I. Leave of absence is hereby granted Captain W. W. Johnson for thirty (30) days for the benefit of his health.

II. Capt. W. C. Adams is hereby appointed Lieut. Col., and Capt. Milton D. Baker, Major of the Battalion composed of the companies of

Capt. Robt. R. Henry

Capt. Joshua Warner

Capt. Jos. C. Wyatt

Capt. M. D. Baber

Capt. M. Beshoar

Capt. Alfred Gay

Capt. John R. Wells

III. Lieut Col. Adams will at once assign to duty fit persons for Asst. Quarter Master and Asst. Commissary, with approval of Brig. Genl. McBride. Such persons appointed to immediately execute their bonds and send same to the proper Heads of Departments. Such appointments to be approved at these Head Quarters.

IV. Lieut. Col. Adams will immediately dismount his command and march to the encampment of Brig. Genl. McBride at Batesville, Arks. Under whose orders he is placed. Col. Adams command will be increased to a regiment as rapidly as possible.
