If you are interested in Dobbins, there was a big long discussion on him more than once on this board.
I even made contact with a little lady who was the descendant of some Baptist missionaries from
Arkansas who had gone into Brazil in the 1880's. Through her, I learned that Dobbins lived longer
than his family claimed, became Catholic and brought property in Brazil. In other words, the man
re-invented himself.
