A short time ago,someone asked about Col. James David Walker, concerning his capture after Wilsons' Creek. I recently talked to his GGrandson and he was captured shortly
after the battle. The only thing we have been able to put together is, he was held until the end of the war and his family moved to Texas and returned to Arkansas after the war.
We have no idea where he was held. Obviously he survived, because he became a U.S. Senator and raised a family.
