I have read that Peach Orchard Gap & modern day El Paso are one and the same. Was Peach Orchard Gap on the old Military Road between Batesville & Little Rock? I have copied every old Arkansas map I run across, including an 1865 Union army engineering map of the state, & I have never seen the name Peach Orchard Gap. When I compare old & new maps, I dont see anything in the vicinity of El Paso that looks like P.O. Gap. I know it was located west of Austin, I just dont see anything on an old map that looks like it. Thanks in advance.
