Thank you sir, but the vast majority of the information just came from searching the archives of this board and the Missouri Board. One missing link that I want to track down is the State Military Board Records on the numbering of regiments. In an old post from the Archives, Bryan Howerton once mentioned that someone had sent him a copy of a page from the Minutes of the State Military Board, that listed the commanders for the 40 series regiments. I know that the State Archives has a minute book because they have been posting excerts on their document of the day page, but I need to take and afternoon and see what information may be there on these units.
