Not that there is any connection but I have a few Saline County men, captured at Longview, who died in Little Rock of typhoid fever and pnemonia as a result of typhoid fever. Typhoid is usually due to poor sanitation, and if the Union lived like they made the prisoners live it could have caught up with them as well. Just a thought
