After Van Doren pulled out of Arkansas for Mississippi in the spring of 62, I'm coming up with less than 1000 "regular" CS troops in Arkansas toward the end of March, 1862. Does this sound about right? If not give me a number and a source. Do not include any Bushwhacker, guerrilla or Texas Units just passing thru to the east. What was left here after Van Doren went east.
