The Grand Prairie Civil War Roundtable will meet on Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at the Lonoke County Museum in
downtown Lonoke, 215 Front St., at 7:00 p.m. Everyone is invited and there is no admission charge.
New members are always welcome.
Rick Meadows of Cabot, will present a program on Corporal William Gulick of the 1st Iowa Cav. whose unit participated in the
Battle of Brownsville and at Reed's Bridge. The talk will look at the life of an ordinary soldier in the Civil War as learned by
reviewing Gulick's letters home and his journal.
Meadows is the Chair of the Central Arkansas Civil War Heritage Trail, a member of the Civil War Roundtable of Arkansas, and
the Grand Prairie Civil War Roundtable.
The welcome mat is out, so visitors should feel free to come.
