That was Co. E, 19th (Dockery's) Arkansas Infantry. Capt. Robert S. Clayton was the company commander. The company was mustered into Confederate service on March 1, 1862, at Hot Springs, and joined Dockery's regiment at DeValls Bluff on April 2, 1862. Company D (another Hot Spring County company) was consolidated into Co. E on June 2, 1862. Capt. Francis M. Henry was the commander of Co. D, which was mustered into Confederate service on March 1, 1862, at Rockport.
