Great document. I appreciate you sharing it. I think this probably reflects the general state of affairs in early 1860. For some reason there seems to have been a general colaspe in the Militia following the War with Mexico. It may have resulted from all of the infighting that occured between the various officers who were involved in the Arkansas Regiment of Mounted Volunteers.
