I am looking for any information, or books on Gunter's Arkansas Cavalry Battalion. The outfit was organized some time in 1864, and fought at Poison Springs, Jenkins Ferry, and other fights in the Red River campaign.

My great grandfather James F. Jeffrey, from Montgomery County, was one of the men in this battalion.

I would appreciate any info on this group.
