Most definitely a “must read.” There is a copy in the Monticello, Drew County, Library, and the staff is most accommodating when it comes to making copies. One must remember, however, that it is a memoir, and there is an interesting opinion about the retreat at Devil's Backbone. He begins very condemning, but ends justifying. An excellent source. As Doyle stated, however, the copyright is somewhat hogtied, so getting copies might be the best option at this point. I am sure there are depositories other than Monticello that have it (U of A, AHC, etc.). Good luck.
