On Feb. 24, 1864, Col. Wm. A. Phillips (Ft Gibson, Indian Terr) reported to Gen. S.R. Curtis regarding his recent expedition: "I have brought 20 prisoners with me, and sent them to Fort Smith to be exchanged." [O.R.s, Series I, Vol. 34. Part I, Page 106]

Would there be records of these prisoners at Ft Smith and when and if they were exchanged? In particular, I want to know when/where they were captured and their units.
