I know it wasn't in the Hindman Telegraph because in those they were making a point about the need for secrecy. It may also have been in Don Simmon Book "In Their Own Words". But, I know that the information I read specifically mentioned the Artillery and the Supply column. I discussed this information with Bryan Howerton many years ago regarding the formation of the various artillery batterys in August 1862 specifically Hart's Battery at Sulphur Springs, when they were reorganized, and got their guns, because there wasn't that many cannons laying around unused in Arkansas, after Van Dorn left, in the summer of 1862.. The Cannons for these batteries had to have come from somewhere out of state and this information provided the answer to that puzzle. The only other cannon that I found coming to Arkansas during that period were 10 Parrot guns from Pikes command in Oklahoma.
