any news re CSA Camp Reed...???

Hi all -

time for my periodic quest re the mysterious CSA Camp Reed that apparently existed somewhere in SW Arkansas during the winter of 1864-1865.

Bryan Howerton et al. have suggested that it may have been somewhere near Fulton AR, but.....???

My ongoing interest is from info I obtained from microfilm documents in the Herndon Supplement of Arkansas CSA Soldiers stored at the Arkansas History Commission in Little Rock, Arkansas.

These list both Joseph L. Bishop (my great-grandpa) and William P. Bishop (his older brother) as being "guards at Camp Reed during the Winter of 1864-65" and belonging to Company C, 10th Arkansas Cavalry under now Captain C.K. Holman and Col. Robert C. Newton. More info is at:

Hoping that some new clues may have turned up, etc....???

thanks!!!!!!
