James Boyd was a private in Company A. He enlisted 03 May 1862 at Monticello, Drew County, Arkansas, and received a disability discharge on 18 Aug 1862. The 26th was not involved in Price's Missouri raid. I'm sorry I can't give you more information about Private Boyd. There were several by that name in the area of recruitment, and it has been difficult discerning who was who.
