According to The Camp, The Bivouac and The Battlefield by W. L. Gammage, Company B and Company E of the 4th Arkansas Infantry came from Hempstead, Co. Company B known as the Hempstead Hornets, and Company E known as the Confederate Guards. Highly recommend this book as it covers all companies of the 4th since it is written by the surgeon.
