I am honored by your request, and I used to enjoy giving talks about the Civil War in Arkansas, but unfortunately 30 years of hard service with Uncle Sam have left me with some chronic physical problems. I'm not able to travel anymore except with pain, so I've wimped out and just don't travel anymore.
Mary, may I suggest that you ask some of the regulars on this board if they'll speak to your group? There are so many Civil War experts who contribute to this board.
Anyway, thanks for asking me. You really made my day, knowing that someone out there actually feels like I have something worthwhile to say.
