Kelly,
Moses is my gg grandfather too. He's on the US census in Polk County from 1840-1860. He and first wife are on the Cherokee Old Settlers Roll 1851 in Skin Bayou District. Moses was very temporarily in the 13th KS Infantry in Ft Smith but deserted (1864). He and 2nd wife Margaret Howell (married in Polk County 1863) are on the Cherokee Census, Goingsnake District in 1869. Their graves are in Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner (relocated from Diamond Grove Cemetery when the Ft Gibson Lake was built).

Email me at martikw@cherokeehistory.com and we can share what we know about him.

Ken
