July 1 The company was in the ditches on Kennasaw Mountain & engaged in the skirmishing at that place. July 2 at night marched 12 miles and ditched. July 4 was ordered ought [sic] to reinforce the skirmishers - no casualties. Marched at night to Chattahoochee River (10 miles) From there was marched to Moors Mills and was engaged with the enemy - 3 men wounded. July 19 Was on the morning of the 20 marched 2 miles to the right and attached the enemy 3 men wounded. July 27 was ordered 3 miles to the left, there entrenched. July 28 marched ought [sic] one mile and engaged the enemy 2 men killed and one wounded. July 29 marched back to our former position 3 miles to the right. Removed camp several times but nothing transpiring worth note until August 19. Taken the cars for Jonesboro to intercept Kilpatrick's raid. Arrived about 2 oclock PM from there to Beane Creek Station. there met the enemy, had a fight of 2 hours duation. Orderly Sargeant wounded. Aug 21 returned to Atlanta. Aug 27 takencars for Jonesboro. Aug 31 charged the enemys works and taken their pigilet [sic] line one man wounded. Fell back to our former position at night.
