Joseph Young, a request for help

Hello. I have this dear little lady friend, Miss Hazel, age 90, in the nursing home.
Currently she is trying to write down as much as she can remember about her heritage/family.
Her mother's grandfather was in the Civil War. All she knows is that his name was Joseph Young
and that he lost his leg in the Civil War. He later had a peg leg and her mother could remember
him. She says now, she should have listened more closely to her mother.
When Miss Hazel was a child she lived in Booneville, Arkansas moving to Arkadelphia when her
brother entered Ouachita in probably 1939
So does anyone have any ideas on who this Joseph Young was, who he served with, or even
where he came from. Bless her heart, she is trying and is writing this for her granddaughter
as her own two children passed on long ago.
