Choctaws soldiers at the Battle of Newtonia

My wife is a member of the Choctaw Tribe of Oklahoma. Her great great grandfather served in the CSA. According to historians, the Battle of Newtonia (Mo) was the only Civil War battle where Native America actually fought against each other. Do we know what Arkansas regiments fought at Newtonia ?

I understand that the local historical organization has done a lot to preserve this battle field. I live in Galena, Kansas, which is just a short drive to Newtonia and we hope to visit the battle field in the next month or so. Has any of the members of this message board ever visited the Newtonia battle field ?
