Jack, there was a predominately Irish company in the 18th (Marmaduke's) Arkansas Infantry, later 3rd Confederate Infantry, but it was from Mississippi. The "Shamrock Guards," Co. D, was recruited at Vicksburg, Mississippi, by Capt. John H. Crump. Lots and lots of good Irish names on the roster.
