This is a photo of my GG Grandfather and Im unsure as to if it is a Civil War photo, reunion? Im sure it was taken here in Arkansas as the family never moved. I dont know what the stars mean and why some are holding books. It appears the man in the very center has a large book. Please help me with this as I am trying to find out more information on it and him and what infantry he was with if this is the case. He is the one in the close up with the strange eyes.
