Re: 19th (Dawson's) Arkansas - Merrill Pence alert

Ken,
You may send him my email address as well...

martikw@cherokeehistory.com

I found that Woodruff's "With the Light Guns in '61-'65" is online at:

http://cdm.sos.mo.gov/cdm4/document.php?CISOROOT=/shscivilwar&CISOPTR=2539&REC=18&CISOSHOW=2424

Pages 67-72 speak of their movements from Ft Smith to North Fork Town (Creek Nation near present Eufaula OK) and then south to Ft McCulloch. Went sent to Little Rock, they went northwest from Ft McCulloch to Boggy Depot(Choctaw Nation southwest of Atoka OK) -- probably for resupply and/or to connect with a better road -- and then east to Doaksville/Ft Towson and on to Center Point AR. I assume Dawson's followed the same route.

Thanks for your help,
Ken Martin
