Bryan, sorry, I know you keep a “running” database on these guys, and I failed to mention the soldier’s name. He was George G. Dunn, CO B, 10th AR Militia. He later served in CO H, 26th Arkansas Infantry, CSA, and “possibly” in CO A, 2nd AR Infantry, USA (not sure about the galvanization yet). He acquired a Sebastian County land patent in 1861 – the original certificate reads, “George G. Dunn of Sebastian County, Arkansas” – and appears in the 1860 Sebastian County census. Matching names in subsequent census records suggest this might be George Granville Dunn, b. 23 Dec 1832, d. 6 Sep 1889, and interred in Yorkville Cemetery, Yorkville, Gibson County, TN.

If you have anything to add or correct on this soldier, any input is very appreciated.

George Dunn household, 1860 U.S. Census, Sugarloaf TWP, Sebastian County, Arkansas population schedule, page 52 (overleaf of stamped page 1009), lines 4-7, dwelling 361, family 348, National Archives micropublication M653, roll 50
