The Arkansas in the Civil War Message Board

Re: John T. Falls, m/w Mine Creek, KS 1864.

Chuck, somewhere around here I believe I have a status report of the officers of Slemons' 2nd Arkansas Cavalry from the early part of August 1864, just prior to the Missouri Campaign. Lord knows where it is, but if I can lay my hands on it, I'll post it here.

Apart from that, I don't know of any significant material from the 2nd Arkansas Cavalry after the early part of 1863, when they were still in Mississippi. I've got lots of material from the early part of the war through the end of 1862, but almost nothing beyond that. It's a shame, too, because Slemons' regiment was a "crack" outfit, and the men deserve to be recognized and remembered.
