Re: the Five Guthrie boys and the Civil War

I am a descendant of Randolph E Wood, born abt 1804, Rutherford Co, NC, brother of Susanne Guthrie who married Joseph Guthrie, parents of the Guthrie brothers discussed in the above queries. Randolph and Susanne Wood Guthrie were children of Zachariah Wood, born abt 1769, died 1826 in Rutherford Co, NC. Both Randolph and Susanna sold their inherited property to their sister Theodcia Fowler, wife of Arron Fowler, moved to Spartanburg, SC before Susanna and family moved to White County, AR and Randolph's family moved to Cherokee Co, GA before 1860. I would like to share information with descendants of this Wood, Guthrie and other Wood (Randolph's and Susan's brothers, Nelson, Joel, Carter Wood who also came to AR, brother Middleton Wood went to Illinois) families who are descendants of Zachariah Wood. I am happy to share what I have compiled over the years. Randolph E Wood was my gggrandfather. Nell Nicholson nell513@scottsboro.org
